Completed my BA in Literature and Drama with First Class Hons in England after a spell living in Hong Kong. Moving on to an MA in English Literary Studies, and becoming a certified mechanic. Stage manager for a local theatre group. I like knitting, getting my hands dirty working on my car, the sea, books, films, baking and the phrase DEAL WITH IT.
I don't like wedge heels, and I don't understand fashion. The two are possibly related.
I like taking photos, I'm not a photographer.

I’m watching: Star Trek XI
I hadn’t re-watched it for long enough to remember that it was amazing, but forget just HOW amazing. The film could end after the opening sequence and I would probably be satisfied, it achieves in under 10 minutes what many films struggle to do in 2 hours, i.e. send you through pretty much the whole range of emotions.
…Oh. And I might be in love with Spock.
So, since we have caught up re-watching all of Lost, we now need something else to watch while we wait for the new episodes. And we have settled on Star Trek, bouncing between the original series and Next Generation, with a sprinkling of Deep Space Nine. The other night we watched Plato’s Stepchildren, which includes the above scene and is possibly the most hilarious thing I have seen in my life.
We also watched Bitch Slap, which for reasons which will be obvious to anyone who has seen it, I never want to mention again. MUST. REPRESS.

Awesome art is awesome
So today I bought these shoes…but they are not just any shoes, they are limited edition Star Trek 2009 sneakers designed by Airwalk. I got them at Payless Shoes for 15 bucks but they are almost gone everywhere. I called six stores and this was the only one near me that had them. I got them in red (for Scotty :]) but wanted them in blue (FOR TEH AWESOME VULCAN SPOCKY)
